Thank goodness for cameras!

This last week has just flown by! I can't believe Brinlee's already a week old. I know that's not very old, but at this rate McKay and I will have grandkids next week. I am so glad we have cameras! She is already changing and growing so fast, it's nice to be able to capture some of it and cherish it forever.
Daddy and Brin taking a nap

Who says Babies can't smile yet? Brin is always smiling! Especially when she's asleep. I think she has smiled more than Mckay and I have since she has been home, if that's possible.
She tends to get swallowed up in her clothes. That big lump where her stomach should be are her legs all curled up in a ball. Kay and I got a pretty good laugh out of this

WE LOVE OUR BABY GIRL SOOOO MUCH!!! We are soaking up every minute of her!

Brinlee Kay Pearson

Brinlee Kay Pearson was born June 22nd at 5:54 am. She weighed 5 pounds 6 ounces and was 17 3/4 inches. She is just a tiny little thing! The top picture is Ashley's first moment with her and the bottom picture is her first bath!

This is my first time holding her! She is such a sweet tiny little thing!

She has a long tounge! Enjoy the pictures! Come stop by and see her anytime!

I have been bad at taking my weekly pictures of the baby's progress. But here I am at 37 and half weeks! I have 2 and 1/2 weeks until my due date! We are all ready to go, but for school reasons still would like her to stay in there a little bit longer. I don't realize how big I'm getting until I see a picture of myself. I'm feeling really good other than some back aches, and it's been a little more uncomfortable to walk now that she has dropped. She dropped about 2 weeks ago.

At my 36 week appointment I was measuring at 34 weeks (I've been measuring right on up until this point) And the doctor was having a hard time feeling her and asked if I had been feeling her move lately. This made me feel really nervous. I said ya I think so. but being asked that made me question if I really had. The doctor had me get an ultrasound to make sure everything was ok. The ultrasound felt like it took forever! I was just in a stare while McKay asked a billion questions to the ultrasound tec, who isn't allowed to really say anything. She just measured everything and said the doctor will talk to you about it. Not what we wanted to hear! But I felt that everything was ok and with McKay by my side I wasn't as nervous as I otherwise would have been. And in the end the doctor told us everything looked good and she is measuring right on according to the ultrasound. That was a relief to hear that she was ok and looking good! One good thing from this was we got a cute pic of her hand.

Happy Mother's Day

Sadly this is the most up to date picture I have with my mom. Next time we are in town we will have to fix that. Well happy Mother's Day! This post is for my mother, who is the best mother anyone could ask for! I feel truly blessed to have her as my mother. She is an amazing example to me. I remember growing up people would tell me I looked like her. I always loved hearing that! She is such a beautiful women. McKay says I have or copy my moms sense of humor. I'm ok with that too, because she is hilarious!
My mother and me on my wedding day, obviously : )

McKay with his beautiful mother! She is the best mother-in-law a girl could ask for!
I found a couple of cute poems that I thought I would share... (I thought of my mom when I read them. She is an amazing mother. I hope to be as wonderful as she is when my little girl comes)

To My Mother
For all the times you gently picked me up,
When I fell down,
For all the times you tied my shoes
And tucked me into bed,
Or needed something
But put me first instead.
For everything we shared,
The dreams, the laughter,
And the tears,
I love you with a "Special Love"
That deepens every year..

What is a Mother?
A Mother has so many things to do,
From washing, ironing, cleaning to tying a shoe.
She scrubs, she mends, she cooks and sews,
She bathes the children and washes their clothes.
When they forget to wash their faces clean,
And their clothes are the muddiest you've ever seen,
Who repairs the clothes and scrubs them like new?
Of course, that is what a Mother will do.

Who becomes the doctor or the nurse when they are ill,
Applying a bandage or giving them a pill?
Who becomes a teacher when a child has homework?
She must never her duty shirk.
Who becomes a detective to find a toy or a book?
For missing things she must look and look?
Who becomes a listener to every heartache,
To every accomplishment that a child makes?
Who scolds their children when they are naughty,
Or remind them of God when they are to haughty?
Who tends her family with love and patience, too?
Of course that is what a Mother will do.

one more day left

This week is finals week for McKay and me. Each test we get done with, is like another boulder being lifted off our shoulder. Let me tell ya, it's a good feeling! But with every boulder being lifted off my back another one is being added on to my stomach and elsewhere. We just can't win can we. JK I'm loving every minute of it. for the most part : )We both have one more test in our Microbiology class and I have to finish my curtains for my home decor class and then we are headed off to Montana! So we just thought we would let you all know we are still here and surviving! P.S. I'm 28 weeks tomorrow! Which means only 12 weeks (84 days) left!!!! Not that we are counting down the days or anything...

projects

My pictures are kind of out of order, but this was my second project I did in a sewing class I'm in. I never thought I could do something like this. I going to make one more with this fabric but I'll have buttons on it. I LOVE this class. It's giving more courage to sew things on my own.

I have started crocheting a blanket in my free time. So basically right before I go to bed I do a half a row than that's the point where I can't keep my eyes open any longer. I learned how to crochet back in high school and haven't done it since. I learned this type of stitch from my friend Katie. I'm going to alternate between brown and pink. Wanna guess who this is for?

This will be my next and last project I do for sewing class. I'm hope to turn the picture down below into basically looking like anything except well what it is now. The shades are allows falling off! I will do that using the fabric on the right. I have decided it is no longer cheaper to make things on your own like it was back in my parent's day. Kind of sad.
My first project for my sewing class. I decided to do burp rags cause they may come in handy! Maybe
There's a reason I close my eyes when I walk past the little girls section at wal-mart. I couldn't resist! But I had 5 in my cart and narrowed it down to 1, so I'm pretty proud of myself! This will be for next summer. I should wait til it's the fall to buy it so that it's on sale, but I'm affraid it will be gone. So better safe than sorry! right?
25 weeks. I was looking back on my other earlier pregnancy photos and not until now do I realize how little I was compared to now. Each day I feel like I had another coating on that belly. Grow baby grow!

Here is McKay expressing our feelings:
How we feel about school right now

How we feel about 90 days left til Jr. Miss arrives (we act calm and collected but really we are freaking out, excited, and scrambling to get ready)
This is how we feel about the last day of school being less than 3 weeks away
