projects

My pictures are kind of out of order, but this was my second project I did in a sewing class I'm in. I never thought I could do something like this. I going to make one more with this fabric but I'll have buttons on it. I LOVE this class. It's giving more courage to sew things on my own.

I have started crocheting a blanket in my free time. So basically right before I go to bed I do a half a row than that's the point where I can't keep my eyes open any longer. I learned how to crochet back in high school and haven't done it since. I learned this type of stitch from my friend Katie. I'm going to alternate between brown and pink. Wanna guess who this is for?

This will be my next and last project I do for sewing class. I'm hope to turn the picture down below into basically looking like anything except well what it is now. The shades are allows falling off! I will do that using the fabric on the right. I have decided it is no longer cheaper to make things on your own like it was back in my parent's day. Kind of sad.
My first project for my sewing class. I decided to do burp rags cause they may come in handy! Maybe
There's a reason I close my eyes when I walk past the little girls section at wal-mart. I couldn't resist! But I had 5 in my cart and narrowed it down to 1, so I'm pretty proud of myself! This will be for next summer. I should wait til it's the fall to buy it so that it's on sale, but I'm affraid it will be gone. So better safe than sorry! right?
25 weeks. I was looking back on my other earlier pregnancy photos and not until now do I realize how little I was compared to now. Each day I feel like I had another coating on that belly. Grow baby grow!

Here is McKay expressing our feelings:
How we feel about school right now

How we feel about 90 days left til Jr. Miss arrives (we act calm and collected but really we are freaking out, excited, and scrambling to get ready)
This is how we feel about the last day of school being less than 3 weeks away

McKay

(Warning! This post is full of mushy, lovie, dovie content from a pregnant woman)
Best husband in the world
So I may be a little biased but to me McKay is truly the best husband one could ask for. As of March 4 we have officially been married for a year and a half. It has flown by! Looking back on our marriage we have so many good and funny (sometimes not funny at the time) memories. I am so excited to make more memories with McKay. Especially now with our little junior miss on the way. : ) Some things I love about McKay:

Funny
(February of 2010. Unpacking our stuff at our new apartment)

McKay is always cracking me up. There's not a day that goes by where we aren't laughing with each other. I love his sense of humor. I'm not even sure if anyone has quite seen this side of McKay that I'm talking about, except maybe tate his brother. He can be so weird and goofy. I love it!

                                                                        Smart
   (Mr. studious)
McKay is so smart! He can do anything he sets his mind to. I always tell him he would make a good heart surgeon, because he is so precise, neat and clean and a perfectionist (in a good way). I don't know how he balances everything he has going on. Between basketball, school, me, basketball, driving bus, basketball, job shadowing, reffing, basketball, and church he is a busy man. And I'm always impressed with how he spends his time when he doesn't have to be anywhere. He is truly an example to me!

B-baller!
(Jamo, Vance, Josh, McKay, not sure
Jarmon, not sure)
(BYU-I rec basketball March 2010)

I truly love how much he loves basketball. I also love how "confident" : ) he is about it. I'm going to miss the days of watching him play byu-i ball.
Last night he was in a 3 point shoot out. He did so good! He got 2nd place, but really him and the guy that got first place scored the same amount of 3 pointers, but McKay had 20 points in the 1st around (highest against about 10 other players, one point higher then this other guy, then McKay and the other guy tied in the 2nd, and the other guy won by one in the 3 round. There were a lot of people there watching and it was broad casted on the Internet. I asked him afterwards if he was nervous and he said no not really. I think I get nervous enough for the both of us, cause I was sweating and my heart was pounding! I hope junior miss gets McKay's genes when comes to that kind of stuff.

Awesome soon-to-be Dad
(Hailey and McKay taking a Sunday afternoon nap.
Christmas break 2010)
I have no doubt in my mind that McKay will be the best dad to our kids! I love seeing him with kids. They warm-up fast to him. Our friends Jameson and Sarah have an adorable new baby boy and it's cool to watch McKay hold him. I can't believe in just 4 months I will get to watch him hold our little girl.

McKay just left an hour ago with his competitive basketball team to go play in a tournament in Idaho, that is 2 hrs away from the burg. I thought about going, but sitting on a hard bench from 11 am to 8 pm doesn't sound too fun to me right now. It has only been an hr, but I already want him to come back home. (I blame pregnancy hormones).I'm so used to him being within 5 minutes or less from me, so times like these make it hard for me.

Earlier this week I was kind of excited to have this day to myself, because than I could go to the school and sew, exercise, & practice piano as I please. But then I learned he is going to be gone til about 10 tonight. Sad! What am I going to do with myself til then? I truly have respect for army wives. I think those are some strong women!

Well to sum it all up, I love love love my McKay! I have so much fun with him and he is truly my best friend!

P.S. We had a doc appointment this morning. It went good. Just checked jr miss's heart beat and it sounded good! I am now 24 weeks and 2 days (to be exact) along. Only 4 more months left!

Little junior miss is 23 weeks

How little junior miss is growing: From babycenter.com:
Turn on the radio and sway to the music. With her sense of movement well developed by now, your baby can feel you dance. And now that she's more than 11 inches long and weighs just over a pound (about as much as a large mango), you may be able to see her squirm underneath your clothes. Blood vessels in her lungs are developing to prepare for breathing, and the sounds that your baby's increasingly keen ears pick up are preparing her for entry into the outside world. Loud noises that become familiar now — such as your dog barking or the roar of the vacuum cleaner — probably won't faze her when she hears them outside the womb.

Oh! I feel like our little girl is just growing way to fast! As big as a mango, I'm a proud momma! And I've tried the dancing thing.... nothing yet. Maybe our baby is already embarrassed by my dance moves and won't move in fear I'll keep dancing.

Here I am at 23 weeks: I feel like my stomach has doubled in size this last week. I've gained about 5 lbs in just a week, hopefully that's the baby growing not me.
How I'm feeling: I've been feeling good. Still get sick about 2 times a week, but nothing like a couples months ago. I can't eat toast especially in the mornings, I have no idea why. I still get really tired and for some reason my monday and wednesdays are the worst. Maybe cause Kay and I sit by this water fall thing when we study after class and; it pretty much knocks me out. This last week I haven't felt the baby move as much but I do every once in a while. I'm excited for when Kay can feel it outside the belly. Our friends gave us some super cute clothes, which made me really excited and makes it feel more real. One of the things they gave us was 2 little socks one white that says Jordan on it and the other is pink with the Jordan sign on it, they are way awesome! Our little girl is going to be ballin'! : )

McKay is doing great! Still getting a lot of pregnancy symptoms right along with me. Except for the growing belly. I don't think that's in McKay's future, even if he tried. He still laughs at me sometimes when he see me. He's still trying to get used to the belly thing. I too laugh when I see a reflection of my belly, but mine is more of a scared/exciting laugh, where as McKay's is a crazy is this happening/excited laugh. Either way we are both both doing good and well laughing.
Here's McKay getting ready to go job shadow! He's so cute! Love ya sweety
I did two posts! so make sure you look at the one below!

Super Mar!

I tittled this post Super Mar, because that's what everyone in high school chanted during his basketball games (referring to McKay and his awesome 3s).
McKay had a game saturday night and did awesome! Like always. He had 29 points and 8 assists. He was 7 for 10 on 3s and a couple of them were back to back. The crowd just kept saying gezz as I just proudly smiled and took videos! His whole team is awesome, a good bench and all. So they won! McKay has a game on saturday is going to be on internet through BYU-I website. So if you get a chance tune in.
Here's a picture of some of McKay's fan club. Thanks for coming guys! We really apprreciate the support!

McKay's cousin Jeri with her husband Jon, & 3 kids
Abby, Spencer, and Leann (they are awesome!)

And here are a few awesome videos of McKay, taken by yours truly!
McKay's # 23.
In this video He steals it and gets an assist. Then when the other team gets the ball, he rebounds off a missed shot and goes down and hits a 3. Which he makes look so simple!

In this video at the very beginning, he has an assist and then the other team can't seem to get the ball back in without our team steeling it away and shooting. I think it happens twice. (sorry kind of a hard video to see)
