Brinlee at 4 months and Halloween

Brinlee at 4 months (This post looks kind of weird cause it wouldn't let me separate the pictures)

This first video is of Brinlee rolling over from back to tummy. She has been doing this for a few weeks now. It also shows her playing with her feet which I catch her doing for the first time on Sept 23, while McKay was in Arizona. She is rolling over and grabbing her feet like crazy now!

For Halloween Brinlee was a bumble bee!

Elite winner and 3 months in review

McKay and I have never entered into any sort of contest. Let alone win anything. On Tuesday the school was having a health awareness day. One of the booths they had was for flu shots. McKay and I decided we better go get our shot. When we were done we went around to the other booths and both put our names in a drawing for prizes. Forgetting all about it we went to our class today where our teacher congratulated us on winning prizes. We had no idea we had won.

 McKay won this awesome pedometer that he can hang to his hip and see not only how many steps he takes in a day but how many steps he takes every minute! I wasn't so lucky....

We tired this baby out tonight and it is awesome!

Brinlee at 3 months

A few facts about our little Brinlee...
She started rolling over from tummy to back at 4 weeks
She changed from newborn diapers to size 1 diapers at 2 months
Then from size 1 to size 2 diaper this last sunday
She has been working on rolling over from back to tummy since last week and officially did it today!
At her last appointment at 3 months she weighed 10 lbs 2 oz.
She is horrible with naps. She usually will take 3- 20 minute naps everyday
But she is awesome about going to bed at night. She barely cries and if she does, it doesn't last very long.
She still wakes up a couple times at night but once I feed her she goes right back to sleep
In her life she has already been camping, hiking, boating, to college, to the zoo (both McKay's and her first time!), and to the best firework show in the west!
She is super smiley and loves her daddy and mommy
And we love Brinlee too!

Why does this have to happen

Can I just say how much I love Brinlee! It is such a different love then I have know before. I just want to hold her all the time and protect her from everything. Sometimes when shes sleeping I want her to wake up so I can hold her and see her beautiful eyes and smile again. Going to school without her is so hard. When she was born there were still 4 weeks in the summer semester. I was able to take her with me, which I loved! Now I have to leave her behind. It has been so hard to concentrate in my classes knowing shes at home growing and changing without me there to see it.

 Yesterday McKay and I decided that Brinlee may be getting too big for her newborn clothes. Which both breaks my heart and makes me excited. on Monday night I put her in a pair of newborn pjs and I knew they were snug on her,but I wasn't ready to pack them away yet. This is the result:

And her sleeves no longer make it to her wrist. : ( 

Why does it have to happen so fast? Thankfully she was a little bit smaller than average, so we were able to enjoy in newborns longer.

And I can't believe shes already covering herself from me taking her picture! She going to be trouble! I can sense it already!

Brinlee is 2 months old!

On Wednesday the 17th Brinlee turned 8 weeks and weighed 8 lbs 10 oz and 20 1/2" long! She is growing up too fast! Even though that is what most babies are born at. But I can't believe she is already 2 months old. She has her 2 month apt. tomorrow. I'll update on how is doing then.
